ICC-ES SAVE

QuestionsSAVE™ Program Overview

ICC-ES Sustainable Attributes Verification and Evaluation™ (SAVE™) Program

ICC-ES created the SAVE™ Program to provide manufacturers with independent verification that their products meet specific sustainability targets defined by today’s codes, such as the International Green Construction Code (IGCC) and the California Green Building Standards Code (CALGreen) and ASHRAE 189.1 and standards and green rating systems, such as LEED, Green Globes, and NAHB & ICC’s National Green Building Standard (ICC 700-2008).

Verification of Attributes Report™ (VAR™)

Successful evaluations result in a Verification of Attributes Report (VAR™). Products issued a VAR are allowed to display the ICC-ES SAVE Mark and, once issued, the VAR is posted online in ICC-ES’s Directory of Reports at www.icc-es.org/save.

Designers, specifiers, code officials and other interested individuals can consult the Directory of Reports online to find information on products that have been issued a VAR.  For products that have been issued an ICC-ES Evaluation Report on code compliance in addition to a VAR, links within the two reports allow the viewer move instantly between the two reports.  Both reports may also be found within the online tool eCodes Premium.
