SAVE™ Mark

Products that are evaluated under the ICC-ES SAVE™ program and issued a Verification of Attributes Report™ (VAR™) are allowed to display the ICC-ES SAVE™ Mark.  VAR™ reports will only be issued for products that are verified by ICC-ES as meeting the manufacturer’s environmental claims, and having the product attributes claimed by the manufacturer. The guidelines used to verify the manufacturer’s claims address the production stage of the report subject, beginning with raw material acquisition and progressing through final manufacturing and packaging (“cradle-to-gate”).

After the VAR™ has been issued; inspections will be conducted annually at the manufacturer’s site to ensure that the attributes of the product covered in the VAR™ remain consistent. Through the ICC-ES Sustainable Attributes Verification and Evaluation™ process, as overseen by the technical experts on the ICC-ES staff, we give you confidence in the products that display the ICC-ES SAVE™ Mark.
